The Farm

Guests can observe the workings of the family run dairy farm and take in the cow milking as well as the farm animals in the fields adjacent the cottage.

Meet the farm animals or feed some newly born dairy calves.

Private Fishing is also available for guests at Tullig House & Farm.

Enjoy Bohereeen walks along the entrance lane to Tullig House and take in the views of the surrounding landscape!

River Laune

The River Laune is on our doorstep at Tullig and provides anglers with private salmon and trout fishing. The river flows from Lough Leane, one of the Lakes of Killarney, through Beaufort, past Ballymalis Castles (opposite Tullig), onto Killorglin and into the sea at Castlemaine Harbour . It is enjoyable to sit beside the River or take a walk along its banks.

Dairy Farm

Guest are invited if they so wish to observe the dairy farm in progress, cow milking occurs every evening and morning. The animals can be observed in the fields close-by, check with your host in Tullig beforehand if you wish to get closer.

Family Pets

Meet the family pets, Flame and Blackie are the resident cats and Ruben the horse can be seen trotting around the green fields often close to the Cottage.

Bohereen Walks

Enjoy walks up and down the bohereen (little road). This laneway at various points provides for scenic views of the MacGillycuddy’s Reeks, Carrauntoohill and also Purple and Strickeen mountains as well as Ballymalis Castle to the North.

Laune Valley Patios

The private patios to the rear of Tullig House provide the perfect perch to enjoy an evening drink or early morning coffee while overlooking the Laune Valley itself. At various times of the day particularly early in the morning, one can observe the cacophony of sound of the birds nearby, spot an otter or the swans in the river or even a fox or the nearby bunch of deer. Ballymallis Castle a national monument can also be seen on the opposing banks of the River.
