Tullig House & Farm - The Perfect Place To Stay
Tullig House is centred in the heart of an idyllic family run farm and is perched on the edge of the Laune Valley overlooking the River Laune to the north while being nested underneath the great MacGillycuddy's Reeks to the south.
Ideally located just off the Ring of Kerry in the heart of the Kingdom, Tullig House is a great base to explore all parts of Kerry. It is ideally situated between the towns of Killarney and Killorglin in the centre of the Reeks District with easy access to the Iveragh, Dingle and Beara Peninsulas.
When not exploring the many nearby attractions, guests can avail of the luxury accommodation on offer with fantastic views while also taking in the workings of the dairy farm, the bohereen walks and access to the River Laune for private Fishing.
This unique place has something for everyone and the private location provides for a tranquil rural haven while also being close by to all that the area has to offer. Tullig House & Farm has two accommodation options, namely Debbie's Cottage and Laune View, both can be booked simultaneously for larger groups.
Debbie's Cottage at Tullig House & Farm
Debbie's Cottage named after Debbie Joy who ran a Bed & Breakfast and self catering business at Tullig House for many years is a newly renovated cottage to the highest of standards. The Cottage boasts views from all sides and has a private patio to the rear overlooking the River Laune as it flows from the Lakes of Killarney.
The Cottage itself comprises of a spacious Kitchen-Living-Dining Room with a vaulted ceiling providing for a bright, cosy and peaceful setting. The cottage has 2 bedrooms, the first comprising of a King Bed with the second having a Double and Single Bunk bed setup.
The property has all the necessary essentials with a fully equipped kitchen in addition to having an external laundry room facility for guest use.
The solid fuel stove when lit provides for a lovely ambience on the darker evenings. Both Laune View and Debbie's Cottage at Tullig House & Farm can be booked simultaneously for large groups.
Laune View Lodge at Tullig House & Farm
Laune View Lodge is the second and most recent offering of accommodation at Tullig House & Farm. The rear river view wing of the original property now titled Laune View has been carefully renovated and restored to the highest of standards to provide a luxurious 2 bed lodge with a contemporary twist and all that modern living has to offer within a timeless property.
Laune View Lodge is in an elevated position perched on the edge of the Laune Valley and as such provides for great views of the River Laune beneath and the Slieve Mish mountains and the Dingle Peninsula in the background. As it is elevated it is accessed by three steps leading up to an entrance of french patio doors. A handrail is provided but this may not be suitable for someone with mobility issues.
The Lodge itself comprises of a spacious Kitchen-Living-Dining Room with a high ceiling and bay windows providing for a bright, cosy and peaceful setting. The Lodge has 2 bedrooms each with a King Sized bed.
The property has all the necessary essentials with a fully equipped kitchen in addition to having an external laundry room facility for guest use. The solid fuel stove when lit provides for a lovely ambience on the darker evenings.
On The Farm
Guests can observe the workings of the family run dairy farm and take in the cow milking as well as the farm animals in the fields adjacent the cottage.
Meet the farm animals or feed some newly born dairy calves.
Private Fishing is also available for guests at Tullig House & Farm.
